Demolition of old Forest Way pedestrian bridge and closure of Warringah Road, Saturday 10 June to Monday 12 June
The NSW Government is upgrading roads around the new Northern Beaches Hospital with work proposed to be completed in 2018.
Roads and Maritime Services will dismantle the old pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Warringah Road and Forest Way over the long weekend, from Saturday 10 June to Monday 12 June.
This work will be carried out continuously over this period, including all day Sunday.
Warringah Road will be completely closed to all traffic between Fitzpatrick Avenue and Forest Way between 11pm on Saturday 10 June to 5am on Monday 12 June (30 hours in total).
ADDITIONAL ROAD CLOSURE: Warringah Road will be closed from Eastern Valley Way to Wakehurst Parkway on Sunday 11 June, from 8am to 8pm.
Motorists will need to use alternative routes: Pittwater Road, Pacific Highway, Mona Vale Road, Eastern Arterial Road, Wakehurst Parkway. Please avoid Warringah Road.
Expect traffic delays and allow extra travel time.
Access will be maintained for local residents and bus services.
